On Wednesday 15th October, we welcome environmental artist Sally Kidall. The Tree House begins at 8pm at the Hooper House Cafe, Stokes Croft, Bristol.

I’ve just received this email from Sally:

“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at Tree House in a couple of weeks. I hope everyone will come on board for some interesting discussion, I hope to whet your appetites by showing lots of images & telling you about why, what, how & where I like to make my works.

I’m interested in hearing others share their thoughts & discuss questions such as:

Why do we have this drive to dream up crazy ideas and then spend hours making/creating them?

Does what we do effect other people in the way we intend?

Is our work important to others & does it contribute to society?

Making works with no commercial value, is this crazy?

Art as a form of activism, is this valid?”

There’ll be free Tapas on the evening, so please come with space to eat. I’m really excited to hear Sally talk about her work as an artist in Australia. The images of her work are so evocative. Here’s a small sample of what to expect.

See you there!

Peace, Geoffx
