A quote from the back page of the book:

“Communities mingle on the threshold between church and street in arts projects from this inner-city parish church. Compiled by visual artist Jane Lee following her Artist Residency at St Michael & All Angels Church in central Bristol, the book celebrates some of the many arts and performances across its doorstep, and hears from the creative practitioners, parishioners, local residents and others involved.  Marrying the ebb and flow of creative work with the recurring seasons of the Church year, the book records original works, and uncovers the insights and opinions they generate.  With responses from across the spectrum of belief and artistic practices, this is a book for anyone keen on the meeting of art, community and faith.”

“Perhaps is is in the discipline of looking and paying attention, that we can find the beginning of an answer to the question Jane Lee poses about the connections between art and belief.” The Very Revd Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Bristol
